Start Here: Why We Exist Discovery is painful, expensive, and confusing. We own the unavoidable so you can prevail. That is not a tagline. It is a description of somebody’s actual week. Somewhere in Dallas right now, a litigation paralegal is staring down a production deadline and a vendor that will not return her call. An associate is explaining a cost overrun he did not cause and cannot defend. A general counsel is being asked by her CFO why legal spend jumped again, and she does not have a good answer — because nobody gave her one. Nobody in that story needs more software. Dozens of companies sell the same platforms we do. What those people need is for the problem to go away, and for someone competent to be accountable for it. That is what we sell. Not licenses. Not gigabytes. Relief, and the confidence that comes with it. So the question that matters for this role is not whether you can hit a number. It is whether that story bothers you — and whether fixing it for somebody would feel like a good day’s work. We build relationships. We design technology. We develop superheroes. — Our core values How We Do It We are a concierge eDiscovery firm headquartered in Dallas, founded by former AmLaw 100 attorneys and eDiscovery experts. We go to market through three brands — The Discovery Experts for commercial litigation, Construction Discovery Experts, and Energy Discovery Experts — served by one team. We make the client the hero Most prospects come to us with the same problem: runaway costs and terrible service. Our job is not to be impressive. It is to be the guide who shows them a clear path to winning — and then to get out of the way and let them take the credit. One of our twelve Concierge Service Values says it plainly: we make our clients and counsel heroes. We sell by helping, not by pitching We don’t rely on a booth. We deliver CLE-accredited programming roughly twice a month — real education, real credit, no pitch — and about one in five CLE audiences refers a matter. We host client dinners, an annual fishing tournament, and paralegal events at venues that treat paralegals like the decision-makers they are. Value first. Always. We are technology-agnostic We match the platform to the matter rather than defending one technology’s roadmap. You will never have to sell a client something that is wrong for them because it is what we happen to carry. We price so there are no surprises Ingestion, early case assessment, analytics, archiving, and productions are frequently provided at no additional charge. Clients can forecast their costs. You will never have to explain a mystery invoice. We are a team, not a collection of individuals Our Superhero Credo has four pillars — we are accountable, we are curious, we are loyal, and we keep it real. Under loyalty it says: eDiscovery is a team sport, and there is room for everyone at the table. You will not be a lone wolf here carrying a bag by yourself. You will have consultants, project managers, and a marketing team behind you, and a CEO who answers his own phone. What You Will Actually Do You will own the Dallas–Fort Worth territory and build it through direct, in-person relationship building with law firms and corporate legal departments. Own the territory Build and work a named target list of DFW law firms and corporate legal departments across commercial, construction, and energy litigation. Call on real people Meet face-to-face with litigation partners, associates, paralegals, in-house counsel, legal operations, and legal IT. Handwritten notes and phone calls, not just email sequences. Run our sales framework Identify the problem. Validate it so they know they are not alone. Present the solution in their terms. Ask for the next step. Lead with education Deliver and coordinate CLE programs, paralegal events, and conference presence as your primary on-ramp to new relationships. Grow what you win Expand existing accounts toward master service agreement relationships where we run a client’s entire eDiscovery program. Work the team Partner with consultants and project managers to scope accurately — and never promise what we cannot deliver beautifully. Keep the system honest Maintain accurate pipeline, activity, and forecast data in HubSpot. How Success Is Measured Leading: outbound calls and client meetings against target; new matters opened per month. Lagging: revenue generated from new and existing clients. Always: whether clients describe working with you the way we want to be described. Who We Are Looking For Required At least 2 years of direct outside sales experience carrying an individual quota. Demonstrated success selling to law firms and/or corporate legal departments — you are comfortable in a room with lawyers, paralegals, and legal IT. Located in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, with established local relationships you can activate. A self-starter who builds their own pipeline rather than waiting for one. Preferred Familiarity with eDiscovery, litigation support, court reporting, or legal technology. Exposure to construction, energy, or complex commercial litigation. Experience with CRM discipline (HubSpot or similar) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator. You will thrive here if you are Genuinely curious about people — you want to know what your client actually worries about, not how big the case is. Hungry, but you define winning as solving a nagging problem for someone who has been stuck with it too long. Relationship-minded over transaction-minded. We are all about relationships, not transactions. Generous with your knowledge and comfortable offering your best judgment rather than taking orders. A lifelong learner who wants to understand our clients’ industries, not just our service list. Willing to confront quickly, kindly, and clearly — and generous with gratitude and apologies. This is probably not the right seat if You want to be handed a book of existing accounts. You would rather close a deal fast than build a relationship that lasts ten years. You prefer to work alone and keep the credit.
