Account Executive BrightVine is looking for a driven, energetic Account Executive who wants to build a career in sales and take ownership of the full sales lifecycle. This is an early-to-mid-career, hands-on sales role. It is not a lead qualification or appointment-setting position where opportunities are handed off to someone else. You will be expected to build your own pipeline, prospect for new business, conduct discovery, learn our products, lead your own product demonstrations, manage opportunities, and close deals. If you like talking to people, enjoy creating opportunities instead of waiting for them, and get satisfaction from moving a prospect from first conversation to signed agreement, we want to meet you. About BrightVine Solutions BrightVine helps nonprofit organizations get more value from their technology, data, and fundraising systems. We specialize in nonprofit consulting, data and integration solutions, AI strategy and enablement, and software product development, including BrightVine Data Link for Blackbaud CRM and Raiser’s Edge NXT. Our customers include leading nonprofit organizations across healthcare, higher education, animal welfare, humanitarian aid, associations, and other mission-driven sectors. We’re a fully remote company with a practical, entrepreneurial culture. We move quickly, expect people to take ownership, and care about delivering solutions that genuinely help our customers. What You’ll Do As an Account Executive, you’ll be responsible for generating and closing new software business for BrightVine, including BrightVine Data Link, Outlook Integration for Blackbaud CRM, and Snapshot for Blackbaud CRM. You will own opportunities from prospecting through close. This means finding prospects, starting conversations, conducting discovery, demonstrating our products, presenting pricing, following up, managing your pipeline, and moving deals forward. Your responsibilities will include Building and managing your own sales pipeline - developing leads through our partner network Prospecting nonprofit organizations through referrals, conferences, industry relationships, and creative outbound strategies. Responding quickly to leads and converting interest into active sales conversations. Conducting discovery conversations to understand a prospect’s needs, technology environment, challenges, priorities, and buying process. Learning BrightVine’s software products well enough to independently lead product demonstrations for prospective customers. Preparing for and conducting your own demos, answering prospect questions, and bringing in product or technical experts when deeper expertise is needed. Preparing and presenting pricing and proposals, with leadership support when appropriate. Following up consistently and proactively to keep opportunities moving. Asking for the business and working to close deals. Building relationships with Blackbaud customers, industry partners, consultants, and members of the nonprofit technology community who can help create opportunities. Representing BrightVine professionally at conferences, webinars, user groups, partner events, and other industry gatherings. Actively looking for opportunities before they arrive in your inbox. Maintaining accurate, current, and useful information about prospects, activities, opportunities, and next steps in HubSpot. Sharing what you’re hearing in the market so BrightVine can continuously improve our products, messaging, and sales strategy. Working closely with leadership, consulting, and product teams while taking ownership of your own sales activity and results. What We’re Looking For This role is designed for someone in the early-to-mid stage of their sales career who already has real experience and is ready to take more ownership. We are not looking for a senior sales executive who expects others to prospect, prepare demos, or manage the details of the sales process. We are also not looking for someone whose experience has been limited to qualifying leads and handing them off to an Account Executive. You might be a great fit if you: Have experience in the nonprofit software space and want to continue building your sales career. Want responsibility for the entire sales process, not just one part of it. Are comfortable generating your own pipeline and do not expect marketing or leadership to provide all of your opportunities. Are comfortable picking up the phone and starting conversations with people you don’t already know. Enjoy learning software and can become confident demonstrating technology yourself. Are comfortable leading discovery calls and product demonstrations without needing someone else to run the meeting for you. Present yourself professionally and communicate confidently with prospective customers. Are a self-starter who looks for the next thing to do rather than waiting for direction. Have a strong sense of urgency and follow through on commitments. Are persistent without being pushy. Are organized enough to manage multiple prospects and opportunities at different stages of the sales process. Thrive in a growing company where people wear multiple hats and take ownership beyond a narrowly defined job description. Are open to feedback, but do not need constant supervision or direction. Are willing and able to travel for conferences, customer meetings, and industry events. Experience selling nonprofit software is required. Experience with Blackbaud products or the Blackbaud ecosystem is helpful but not required. What Success Looks Like Success in this role means creating opportunities and turning those opportunities into revenue. Successful Account Executives at BrightVine: Consistently create new pipeline through their own prospecting and relationship-building efforts. Respond quickly and professionally when inbound opportunities do arise. Run strong discovery conversations. Independently deliver product demonstrations. Follow up consistently and keep deals moving. Know what the next step is for every active opportunity. Develop strong relationships with prospects, customers, partners, and other members of the nonprofit technology community. Meet or exceed individual sales goals. Maintain accurate pipeline, sales activity, and forecasting records in HubSpot. Represent BrightVine professionally with customers and at industry events. People who thrive at BrightVine take ownership. They see something that needs to be done and do it. They ask questions, learn quickly, follow through, and don’t wait for someone else to create every opportunity for them. For this role specifically, we’re looking for someone with hustle and initiative. Someone who gets excited when a new lead comes in, but who is just as willing to create the next opportunity themselves. You should be comfortable working independently in a remote environment, managing your own day, and being accountable for your activity and results.
