Accounts Payable Manager

Accounts Payable Manager | 100% Remote (U.S.) About the role Lead a 5-person, fully remote AP team at an established, fast-growing SaaS company. The function already runs well, so you'll step into full ownership of a solid team, not a cleanup project. This is a leadership role first. You'll coach the team, own results, and help select and roll out a new procure-to-pay platform over the next year. What you'll be doing Lead, coach, and develop a team of 5 AP professionals across U.S. and international locations, including hiring when seats open Own the full AP cycle: invoice intake, coding, approvals, payment runs, and vendor communication Keep queues current and make sure vendors are paid accurately and on time Serve as first-level approver and maintain strong payment and banking controls Find bottlenecks and lead process improvements that save the team real hours Partner with accounting leadership on the selection and rollout of a new procure-to-pay system Step in hands-on to cover vacations or open seats when needed What you bring 5+ years of AP experience, including 2+ years directly managing an AP team Strong command of end-to-end AP, payment processing, and banking controls Experience leading remote or distributed team members Hands-on experience with an ERP and a procure-to-pay tool; NetSuite and Coupa are a plus Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred; equivalent experience considered What sets our best people apart You own your work end to end and don't wait for a to-do list You're approachable, and your team gets better because you coach them You communicate clearly and early, with your team and with stakeholders across the business You understand how AP connects to the broader accounting close You like improving processes and will dig into the details when it matters System implementation or P2P migration experience is a strong plus Why this role Full ownership of a stable, well-run function from day one A manager known for developing people and setting a high bar A front-row seat on a major procure-to-pay technology transition Visibility with accounting leadership in a fast-paced SaaS environment Comprehensive benefits Location and work model 100% remote from anywhere in the continental U.S. Plan to work Mountain Time hours while you ramp up, with schedule flexibility after that We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants of all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
