Accounts Receivable Specialist - Hybrid | Temp-to-Hire Pay: $20/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday | Hybrid (Work from home Monday & Friday!) We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join a collaborative finance team! You'll work alongside experienced finance professionals, interact with different departments, and play an important role in keeping customer accounts accurate and payments running smoothly. Variety in your day! Work on account research, payment processing, customer communication, and problem-solving. What You'll Be Doing Help manage customer accounts, payments, and outstanding balances. Research and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, and payment disputes. Apply customer payments and match payments to outstanding invoices. Communicate with customers regarding account balances, payment status, and billing questions. Partner with internal teams to resolve account issues and gather necessary documentation. Assist with collections follow-up and help ensure timely payments. Reconcile accounts and research unapplied or incorrectly applied payments. Maintain accurate financial records and assist with reporting. Support month-end activities and identify opportunities to improve processes.

What We're Looking For

At least 1 year of experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounting, Billing, Collections, Cash Applications, or a related Finance role. Comfortable working in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and basic data analysis. Strong attention to detail and ability to research and resolve discrepancies. Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset. Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
