Position Details: Job Title: Programmer – Advanced – Mainframe Developer Project: Composite Reservoir Accounts Client: State of South Carolina - Office of the State Treasurer. Duration: 6 Months (Extension Possible) Work Location: 100% Remote Interview Process: 1–2 Rounds of Virtual Interviews Required Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience with Enterprise COBOL development in a z/OS environment. 5+ years of experience with NaturalOne. 3+ years of experience in JCL development and production support. 3+ years of experience working with Adabas and VSAM. 3+ years of experience with financial and accounting systems. Strong knowledge of double-entry posting, balance maintenance, accruals, value dating, reconciliation, and month-end closing. Experience analyzing, debugging, and enhancing complex legacy Mainframe applications. Strong understanding of batch processing, copybooks, program call chains, and job streams. Key Responsibilities: Analyze and enhance existing COBOL and Natural applications. Develop new Composite Reservoir Account functionality. Modify COBOL programs, JCL, and mainframe data structures. Implement account opening, closing, sweep, and reverse-sweep processing. Develop allocation, interest calculation, and balance maintenance logic. Support nightly batch processing and month-end closing activities. Ensure accurate financial transactions, audit trails, and reconciliation. Perform unit testing, regression testing, and production support. Preferred Skills Cash Management and Treasury Applications. Account Pooling and Sweep Processing. CA-7 Scheduling and Batch Operations. REXX, Python, or Java. IBM MQ, z/OS Connect, and REST Services.
