Job Description

The Agentic Development Platform Engineer will design, build, and optimize an AI-powered development platform that enables engineering teams to use agentic coding tools and multi-agent workflows. This role bridges software engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, and AI automation to improve software delivery, governance, and compliance in a cloud-native environment. You will work closely with highly technical teams to enhance developer productivity, implement robust automation, and ensure secure, compliant, and observable systems across the platform.

Responsibilities

Design and build multi-agent development workflows and orchestration systems that support AI-assisted software delivery. Develop and maintain AI engineering platforms that leverage agentic coding tools, including model context protocols, prompts, skills, hooks, and subagents. Create, implement, and refine evaluation frameworks for AI-generated code, workflows, and overall engineering efficiency. Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks to support reliable, repeatable software delivery. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation for scalable and maintainable cloud environments. Implement observability, tracing, monitoring, and cost controls across agentic workflows using modern monitoring and telemetry tools. Ensure platform and workflows comply with SOC 2, FedRAMP, HIPAA, and other relevant regulatory and security best practices. Apply strong security principles, including IAM, secrets management, and least-privilege access, across the platform and development workflows. Partner closely with engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and improve developer productivity through AI-enabled tooling and automation. Contribute directly to software development efforts using Python, TypeScript, and cloud-native technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align platform capabilities with organizational goals and public safety initiatives. Produce clear, thorough documentation for platform architecture, workflows, and operational procedures to support maintainability and knowledge sharing. Continuously identify opportunities to experiment, innovate, and improve the development platform, tooling, and engineering practices. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with agentic AI development, including model context protocols, skills, subagents, prompts, and hooks. Strong Python and/or TypeScript development skills, including experience with production application and API development. Proven ability to work across unfamiliar codebases and quickly understand complex systems. Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation, preferably using GitLab. Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or CloudFormation, to manage cloud resources. AWS cloud experience, including deploying and operating applications in AWS environments. Knowledge and experience with monitoring, observability, and tracing tools, including OpenTelemetry and similar technologies. Security expertise in IAM, secrets management, and least-privilege access models. Experience working in regulated environments such as SOC 2, FedRAMP, and HIPAA, with an understanding of related compliance requirements. Strong documentation and written communication skills to clearly describe architectures, workflows, and processes. Ability to automate and improve developer workflows through tooling, scripting, and process optimization. Additional Skills and Qualifications Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration. Background in DevOps or platform engineering with a focus on developer experience and productivity. Familiarity with AI-assisted software development practices and tools. Experience implementing cost monitoring and optimization for cloud and AI workloads. Comfort collaborating with highly technical engineering teams in a fast-evolving technology landscape. Ability to operate in mission-driven, regulated environments where reliability, security, and compliance are critical.
