About the Role
PMI is seeking a senior-level AI Engineer, Marketing to lead the design, development, and deployment of AI-powered workflows across its marketing organization. This role will serve as the technical owner of Marketing AI and Automation initiatives, working closely with Marketing stakeholders and the Martech team to deliver scalable, production-ready solutions within existing tools and processes. You will oversee the full lifecycle of marketing AI solutions, from identifying opportunities and prioritizing the backlog to architecture, deployment, monitoring, and performance evaluation. The role combines AI engineering, data foundations, marketing automation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable systems aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the Marketing AI and Automation backlog, translating business opportunities into prioritized initiatives. Partner with Marketing Operations and Martech teams to identify high-impact AI use cases and define success metrics and acceptance criteria. Design and build large language model (LLM)-powered workflows and multi-agent AI systems. Implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines using enterprise data and knowledge sources. Develop reusable AI components that integrate with existing marketing tools and processes. Build guardrails, fallback behaviors, and human-in-the-loop controls to support reliable AI operations. Establish the data foundations needed for AI agents across CRM, analytics, and data warehouse environments. Enable AI functionality within existing Martech platforms and collaborate with analytics teams to improve data quality and accessibility. Document data flows, integrations, and dependencies. Deploy AI systems into production with appropriate monitoring and evaluation processes. Implement observability to track system performance and business impact. Continuously improve AI solutions based on usage patterns and stakeholder feedback. Ensure AI systems remain secure, resilient, and supportable. Advise Marketing leadership on AI opportunities, translating technical concepts into business implications. Enable non-technical teams through intuitive tools and clear documentation. Maintain transparency around the AI roadmap, risks, and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
Senior-level experience delivering AI-powered systems in enterprise environments. Hands-on experience with LLM workflows, RAG, and agentic systems. Strong background in analytics or data engineering. Proven ability to partner across marketing and technology teams. Strong understanding of AI systems and agentic workflow design. Knowledge of marketing automation and CRM workflows. Experience with analytics and evaluation frameworks. Ability to prioritize backlogs with a product-focused mindset. Clear communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
