About the Role
Jeeves is looking for an AI Engineer to help integrate artificial intelligence into its financial platform. The team is developing AI-powered capabilities for tasks such as intelligent spend categorization, anomaly detection, and large language model (LLM)-powered workflows that help finance teams work more efficiently. This is an engineering-focused role centered on building and deploying AI systems for real-world financial applications, rather than conducting research. You will work with backend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to move AI solutions from prototypes into production. The role requires a strong focus on reliability, observability, cost efficiency, and practical business value. You will also contribute to how Jeeves develops and scales its AI capabilities, with particular attention to the consequences of incorrect AI outputs when processing financial data. Key Responsibilities ● Build and deploy AI-powered features for Jeeves' financial platform. ● Develop AI systems that support intelligent spend categorization, anomaly detection, and finance-related workflows. ● Build and maintain large language model pipelines for production use. ● Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) architectures. ● Move AI solutions from prototype to production in collaboration with backend engineering, data science, and product teams. ● Develop reliable, observable, and cost-efficient AI systems that deliver practical value to business customers. ● Operate and maintain machine learning systems in production. ● Address the challenges associated with AI errors and incorrect outputs in financial applications. ● Contribute to the development of AI engineering practices as the company expands its use of artificial intelligence. Required Experience and Technical Focus ● Experience building LLM pipelines. ● Experience designing RAG architectures. ● Experience operating machine learning systems in production. ● A strong focus on building AI systems that are reliable, observable, and cost-efficient. ● An understanding of the challenges of deploying AI in financial contexts, where incorrect outputs can have real business consequences. ● Ability to work collaboratively with backend engineers, data scientists, and product teams to deliver production-ready AI features. Work Arrangement This is a full-time remote position.
