Associate Wedding Planner
Associate Wedding Planner (Part-Time) Event Design by BE | Atlanta, GA (remote, must live within 45 minutes of downtown Atlanta) Part-time W-2, up to 20 hours/week | $25/hour base + $350 per wedding day worked About us Event Design by BE is an Atlanta-based firm that plans and designs Nigerian and multicultural weddings across the U.S. We take on a small number of weddings each year on purpose, so each one can be exceptional celebrations that honor culture, family, and tradition at a luxury standard. The role We're looking for an experienced wedding planner who wants to own real work, not just assist with it. You'll lead clients and vendors through defined phases of our planning process, work from our written SOP library in Asana, and help run wedding days as part of a six-person team. This role is ideal for someone who has done full-service planning, takes pride in clean execution, and wants to grow inside a firm that's building something bigger. What you'll own You'll lead client meetings and own client tasks from assignment to completion without needing follow-up. You'll source, negotiate with, book, and manage vendors (venues, caterers, decorators, cultural vendors, and entertainment), and build and maintain timelines, checklists, and client files. You'll collaborate on design, including décor, floor plans, and presentations. On wedding days, you'll lead a defined role with set-up, schedule management, and on-site problem solving. You're a fit if you have
- 3+ years of wedding planning experience, including at least 10 full-service weddings you led or co-led from booking through wedding day
- Experience with Nigerian or African weddings (strongly preferred), including traditional ceremonies, aso-ebi, and cultural vendors
- A record of hitting deadlines and closing loops without reminders
- Comfort working from written SOPs and project tools (Asana, Google Workspace, Dubsado), plus willingness to use AI tools like Claude as a working resource
- Calm, clear communication with clients and vendors, especially under pressure
Requirements
- Live within a 45-minute drive (no traffic) of downtown Atlanta
- Available for a consistent 20 hours/week, including some evenings and wedding weekends
- Willing to travel to out-of-state weddings (travel and accommodations paid)
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a reliable laptop
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or walk for 8+ hours
What we offer Remote work with a flexible schedule, paid travel and accommodations for out-of-state weddings, honored holiday requests, and a clear path to promotion as we grow. New hires complete a 90-day probationary period, followed by quarterly performance reviews. How to apply Email [email protected] with:

- In the first line of your email, the number of full-service weddings you've led or co-led from start to finish
