We're Hiring: Technical Subject Matter Expert – Atlassian Certifications (Business Analyst III) 📍 Location: 100% Remote – Anywhere in the USA (No Time Zone Restrictions) 💰 Pay Rate: $85/hr on W2 📅 Contract Duration: 18 Months 🚀 Earliest Start Date: November 16, 2026 🏢 Client: Atlassian About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Atlassian Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of professional certification exams within the Atlassian Credentials Program. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Cloud, along with strong project management, stakeholder collaboration, and technical content review skills.
Key Responsibilities
Lead updates to Atlassian certification exams, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with product enhancements. Collaborate with external SMEs, exam developers, psychometricians, and internal learning teams. Facilitate exam development workshops, review exam blueprints, and validate technical questions. Manage certification projects, timelines, deliverables, and SME communications. Develop and update exam guides, sample questions, certification documentation, and learning resources. Incorporate new Rovo AI, automation, and Atlassian Cloud features into certification content. Coordinate cross-functional teams using Agile project management practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as an Atlassian Solutions Architect, Organization Administrator, or Application Administrator. Extensive hands-on experience with Jira Cloud, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Cloud. At least one Atlassian Certified Professional (ACP) certification for an Atlassian Cloud application. Active involvement in or familiarity with the Atlassian Community, including online groups or local events. Experience independently managing and facilitating remote technical projects. Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, DevOps, ITSM, and Atlassian administration. Familiarity with Generative AI, Atlassian Rovo, and automation capabilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical, and technical documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Atlassian Solution Partners or enterprise customers. Background in Atlassian technical training, certification, or learning content development.
