Audiologist Educational Audiologist | Universal City, Texas

We're seeking a highly qualified Audiologist for an on-site role supporting a cluster of schools near Universal City, TX. With Mission Academy as your home base, you’ll utilize your expertise to assess and manage hearing needs across a diverse PK–12 student population, providing services that empower learning and communication. This is an on-site position, offering 32 hours per week, running ASAP through the end of May 2027. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting evaluations, fitting and repairing hearing aids, collaborating with itinerant teachers, and supporting students during troubleshooting sessions. Maribel Tamez, DHH Coordinator, will be available for guidance and collaboration. While most students receive services at Mission Academy or Highland High School, occasional travel to other district campuses is required. Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Audiology
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in school settings or equivalent expertise
- ASHA certification (waiver available only for those who hold ASHA cert)
- Current state license for audiology practice and hearing aid fitting/repair
- Successful completion of state-required examination
- Ability to meet all time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including fingerprinting and background checks
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, monitor, and support hearing-impaired students PK–12
- Administer hearing tests and interpret results
- Fit, program, and troubleshoot hearing amplification devices
- Work collaboratively with special education and support staff
- Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with IEP goals
- Travel within cluster campuses as needed
