About the Role
Bright Vision Technologies is seeking an experienced Backend Developer – Go to design, build, and optimize high-performance, cloud-native backend services and APIs. This full-time, remote position focuses on developing scalable, production-grade applications using Go, Kubernetes, distributed systems, and microservices. The ideal candidate will bring strong backend engineering experience, an understanding of cloud technologies, and the ability to build reliable services that integrate with databases and messaging systems. You will collaborate with engineering teams on development, performance optimization, testing, and deployment while maintaining clear technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Go. Build cloud-native applications, Kubernetes controllers, and automation tools. Develop and integrate gRPC and REST APIs with databases and messaging systems. Optimize application performance, concurrency, and resource utilization. Implement testing, monitoring, logging, and CI/CD pipelines. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform debugging and performance tuning. Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver reliable, production-grade applications. Maintain technical documentation and support consistent development practices.
Required Qualifications
At least five years of software engineering experience with Go. Strong experience with Go, Kubernetes, gRPC and REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems. Experience working with PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka or NATS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. Strong debugging and performance optimization skills. Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Kubernetes Operators, eBPF, service mesh technologies, or security-focused Go projects. Contributions to open-source projects. Experience with WebAssembly (WASM) or TinyGo.
