About the Role
DataAnnotation is seeking skilled programmers and software professionals to contribute to the training and improvement of AI systems. In this role, you will solve coding challenges, create accurate code examples, explain technical solutions, and evaluate AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, and readability. This fully remote opportunity offers flexible scheduling, allowing you to choose projects and working hours based on your availability and goals. Candidates who successfully complete a short assessment can access paid projects through the platform. Previous professional software development experience is preferred, but applicants with strong programming skills and communication abilities are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Design and solve a variety of coding challenges to support AI training and development. Write precise code examples and provide thorough explanations of technical solutions. Review AI-generated code for correctness, efficiency, readability, and overall quality. Provide structured feedback to help improve the capabilities of AI models. Apply programming knowledge across relevant front-end, back-end, full-stack, and machine learning tasks. Complete assigned projects independently while maintaining high standards of technical accuracy and written communication.
Required Qualifications
Fluent English communication skills, with native or bilingual-level proficiency. Strong programming ability in at least one of the following: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, or Swift. Excellent written communication skills, including strong grammar and clear expression. A bachelor's degree that is completed or currently in progress. Location in one of the eligible countries: the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, or New Zealand.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a software developer, coder, software engineer, or programmer. Experience with front-end, back-end, full-stack development, or machine learning. Technologies JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C, C#, C++, React, Go, Java, Kotlin, Swift, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Compensation and Benefits
The listing provides an annual compensation range of $104,000–$208,000. The company also describes hourly compensation of up to $100+ USD per hour, depending on project type and performance.
