Job Description
Title : Bioinformatics Software Engineer (in Test)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop reusable, scalable bioinformatics tools and component libraries for data processing and verification
- Analyze data to validate technical performance specifications and scientific accuracy
- Troubleshoot discrepancies and document findings with actionable recommendations
- Participate in requirements, architecture, and design review discussions
- Support execution of dry-run and formal verification testing
- Present solutions, analyses, and findings to cross-functional teams
- Follow established software development lifecycle (SDLC) procedures and best practices Who You Are (Qualifications) Education (Degree Flexible Based on Experience)
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Biology, or related field from an accredited institution Experience Requirements (Based on Education Level)
- BS + 10+ years of relevant experience
- MS/MSc + 8+ years preferred
- PhD + 6+ years of relevant experience Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and analytical mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with industry best practices in bioinformatics, data analysis, or scientific software development
