About the Role
The Business Analyst will work closely with business users, subject matter experts, and technical teams to document existing and future business processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications. The role involves supporting software implementations from initial gap analysis through testing, training, deployment, and post-launch support. The ideal candidate has experience supporting software development and implementations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to understand systems and business processes end to end. Experience with e-commerce platform deployments is preferred. Key Responsibilities ● Gather and document business requirements in a format that enables development teams to begin work. ● Collaborate with business subject matter experts and users across departments to understand and document existing processes. ● Participate in all project phases and work collaboratively with project team members. ● Develop an understanding of business operations to assess requirements and recommend appropriate solutions. ● Create and maintain functional specifications, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, and other project documentation with minimal supervision. ● Document current-state and future-state processes, including As-Is and To-Be workflows. ● Develop training materials, work instructions, job aids, test scenarios, and test cases. ● Lead requirements-gathering sessions, gap analysis, and other assigned project activities. ● Coordinate with the manager and other Business Analysts to ensure issues and enhancements are addressed in current and future software releases. ● Identify, troubleshoot, and document system issues as they arise. ● Support business users before and after go-live, including implementation and deployment activities. ● Contribute to process improvements and help ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard. ● Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications and Skills ● Three to five years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role. ● Experience working as a Business Analyst supporting software development and implementations. ● Experience defining test cases and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT). ● Experience gathering requirements, writing BRDs and user stories, and preparing process flows. ● Experience developing training materials for end users during software implementations. ● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Visio skills. ● Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. ● Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. ● Effective process improvement skills, with the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency. ● Strong initiative, accountability, and follow-through. ● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both business and technical environments. ● Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines and weekly or monthly goals. ● Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative to resolve issues, and recommend process improvements. ● Ability to manage multiple assignments accurately and adapt to a changing work environment. ● Willingness to have work reviewed for quality assurance and to work overtime when needed. ● Ability to communicate professionally in person and over the phone with employees at all levels and external contacts. ● Commitment to following established procedures and maintaining regular, punctual attendance. Preferred Qualifications ● Familiarity with the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry. ● Experience with software implementations, preferably involving e-commerce platform deployments. ● A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Business. ● Experience with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. ● Relevant professional certifications.
