About the Role
Nesco Resource is seeking a Business Analyst to support software development, implementation, and deployment projects. The role involves working closely with business users and subject matter experts to document existing and future processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into functional and technical specifications. You will participate throughout the project lifecycle, from gap analysis and requirements gathering to testing, training, deployment, and post-go-live support. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable investigating systems, resolving issues, and recommending process improvements to support successful software implementations.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and document business requirements to support development teams. Work with business subject matter experts and users across departments to understand existing processes and document current-state and future-state workflows. Participate in all project phases, collaborating with stakeholders to support successful delivery. Develop business knowledge to understand requirements and recommend appropriate software solutions. Create and maintain functional specifications, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), process flows, training materials, work instructions, job aids, test scenarios, and test cases. Lead requirements gathering, gap analysis, and related project assignments as needed. Coordinate with the manager and other Business Analysts to ensure issues and enhancement requests are addressed in current and future software releases. Identify, troubleshoot, and document system issues. Support business users before and after go-live as required. Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and process improvements. Assist with software deployments into new markets. Complete other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Three to five years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role. Experience in a Business Analyst position supporting software development and implementations. Experience gathering requirements, writing BRDs and user stories, defining test cases, and leading User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Experience developing training materials for end users and supporting software implementation projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced skills in Visio. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both business and technical environments. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, initiative, and accountability. Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues, business users, and external contacts. Willingness to participate in quality reviews, adapt to changing priorities, and work overtime when needed. Familiarity with the multi-level marketing (MLM) industry is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field. Experience with software implementations, particularly e-commerce platform deployments. Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies. Relevant professional certifications.
