The position begins with responsibility for assigned functions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Customer Engagement, documents and prepares current records and reports for a planned migration to Genius Student Information System (SIS) and assumes administration of the corresponding Genius functions as they are implemented. The position also provides backup coverage for designated education-system functions and limited technical support.
Responsibilities will include:
- Administer assigned functions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Customer Engagement, including business and school accounts, customer records, store and catalog information, portal processes, payment-related system configurations, communications, and associated workflows.
- Maintain roles, permissions, configuration settings, reference tables, templates, and scheduled processes within the assigned modules.
- Monitor system logs, jobs, transactions, and data exchanges; investigate exceptions and coordinate corrective action.
- Before migration begins, learn and document current Business Central, Customer Engagement, portal, store, payment, and customer management processes; inventory source data; identify record owners; map dependencies; and document business requirements for the future Genius SIS environment.
- Develop field maps, data definitions, cleanup plans, transformation rules, retention decisions, migration test cases, and validation criteria in coordination with internal staff and vendors.
- When implementation begins, perform or coordinate data extracts, cleanup, test loads, validation, reconciliation, user acceptance testing, issue resolution, cutover activities, and post-launch stabilization.
- Test releases, configuration changes, workflows, reports, and integrations before production use and document results and unresolved risks.
- Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting data exchanges among Business Central, Customer Engagement, Genius SIS, the learning management system, payment services, and other approved agency systems as applicable during each phase of the transition.
- Crosstrain with the Education Systems Manager and maintain documented procedures for designated education-system functions so essential work can continue during absences, vacancies, or high-volume periods.
- Provide backup assistance with user access, enrollment records, common system issues, data pulls, and vendor escalation within assigned authority.

- Ability to join and organize records from multiple approved sources and translate report requirements into accurate fields, filters, calculations, groupings, and output formats.
- Ability to test system changes and integrations, document results, and distinguish configuration, data, workflow, and vendor software issues.
- Ability to manage detailed operational work independently, set priorities, meet implementation deadlines, and coordinate work across departments and vendors.
- Ability to create accurate system documentation, data definitions, procedures, test scripts, and training materials.
- Knowledge of role-based access, least privilege, data privacy, record retention, secure file handling, and basic information security practices.
