Cannabis Community Educator – Virginia Virginia | Part-Time / Flexible | Opportunity to Grow with an Emerging Cannabis Company Are you interested in the cannabis industry and want to be part of what's coming next in Virginia? Locals is an independent cannabis company currently operating retail dispensaries in Ohio, and we're exploring future expansion into Virginia as the Commonwealth develops its adult-use cannabis market. We're looking for a Virginia-based Cannabis Community Educator who is excited about cannabis, community engagement, education and the opportunity to learn the business from the ground up. This isn't a traditional dispensary job. Virginia's adult-use retail market is still developing, so we're looking for someone who wants to get involved early, build relationships in their community and potentially grow into a much larger role as the market takes shape.

What You'll Do

Represent Locals at community events, educational opportunities and local outreach initiatives Help educate adults about cannabis, responsible use and the developing Virginia cannabis market Build relationships with community organizations, businesses and local residents Help us learn more about the communities and markets we may eventually serve Support grassroots marketing, events and brand awareness Stay informed about developments in Virginia's emerging cannabis industry Work directly with an experienced cannabis retail leadership team and learn the operational side of the industry Who We're Looking For You do not need previous cannabis industry experience. We're especially interested in someone who: Lives in Virginia and has strong ties to their local community Is genuinely interested in cannabis and the emerging Virginia market Enjoys meeting people, building relationships and participating in community events Is dependable, curious and comfortable learning something new Has an entrepreneurial mindset and would be interested in learning how a cannabis business is built and operated Is interested in professional growth as Virginia's cannabis market develops Interested in Cannabis Entrepreneurship? Virginia is creating new opportunities for individuals and communities that have historically faced barriers to participating in the cannabis industry, including through the Commonwealth's Impact License Applicant program. For the right person, there may be opportunities over time to take on greater operational responsibility and explore a future ownership or business partnership with Locals.
