Job Title: Non-Medical Direct Care Worker Company: Blissful Companion Care Job Type: Part-time (Non-Exempt) Compensation: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour Job Summary Blissful Companion Care is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Non-Medical Direct Care Worker to join our team. In this part-time role, you will provide vital, non-clinical home care support to clients, helping them maintain their independence, comfort, and safety in their own homes. This is a strictly non-medical position. You will focus on companionship, daily living assistance, and household support. No clinical tasks or medication administration are required. Hours & Schedule Part-time positions available with flexible scheduling. Minimum of 4 hours per shift.
Key Responsibilities
Companionship & Emotional Support: Provide meaningful social interaction, conversation, and engagement in hobbies or light recreational activities. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to the client's preferences or dietary restrictions. Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe home environment by performing light chores like laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and washing dishes. Transportation & Errands: Drive clients to appointments and social events, or run essential errands like grocery shopping. Medication Reminders: Offer verbal reminders for clients to take their self-administered medications (no physical administration). Health Monitoring: Observe and document basic daily activities, and promptly report any changes in the client’s physical or mental condition to supervisors. Qualifications & Requirements Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: Previous experience in caregiving, elderly care, or working with vulnerable populations is preferred but not required. Transportation: Valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation. Vetting: Ability to pass a comprehensive criminal background check and drug screening. Skills: Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and a warm interpersonal style. Physical Stamina: Ability to assist clients with transfers (e.g., getting in/out of bed or wheelchairs) and lift up to 25 pounds. Apply To This Job
