CFD Engineer | US$50–US$150/hour | Remote contractor opportunity with Micro1 Micro1 is seeking CFD engineers to help improve AI reasoning about engineering simulation. Work includes solving and reviewing challenges involving meshing, turbulence models, multiphase flow, heat transfer, solver configuration and verification/validation; assessing AI-generated responses; troubleshooting convergence and boundary conditions; and documenting clear technical feedback. No prior AI experience is required. Preferred qualifications include an engineering degree focused on fluid dynamics or thermofluids, or equivalent practical experience, and at least three years of hands-on CFD simulation and validation. Micro1 values strong knowledge of Navier–Stokes equations, RANS/LES/DES turbulence approaches, meshing, multiphysics, experimental or analytical validation, and relevant ASME, AIAA or ITTC practices. Excellent English communication is expected. ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+, OpenFOAM, COMSOL or Converge experience and recognised technical contributions are a plus. Engagement: Independent contractor, remote. Micro1 advertises US$50–US$150/hour. Compensation is output-based and paid per task meeting project specifications; minimum weekly submission requirements apply, but the source does not state a numeric minimum.
