Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will provide strategic financial leadership and oversight for VINO VITO’s wine production, distribution, and consulting activities. This part-time remote role includes developing financial plans and budgets, monitoring cash flow, and advising leadership on financial risks and opportunities. The CFO will oversee financial reporting, ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and accounting standards across operating regions. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing financial performance, optimizing resource allocation for viticulture projects and market initiatives, and collaborating with senior leadership on fundraising, investment decisions, and long-term financial strategy.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Finance with demonstrated experience in corporate or entrepreneurial financial leadership. Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting to support strategic decision-making and growth. Ability to prepare, interpret, and review Financial Statements and Financial Reporting in line with applicable standards. Advanced Analytical Skills to evaluate business performance, assess risk, and inform data-driven recommendations. Experience with international or multi-market businesses; familiarity with the wine, agriculture, or FMCG sectors is an advantage. Knowledge of financial regulations, tax considerations, and compliance requirements in at least one of the regions where VINO VITO operates. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote, multicultural environment. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CFA) or MBA is preferred.
