Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations of Dural Wines and its associated brands. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and provide strategic financial guidance to support growth and sustainability initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing financial statements, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, monitoring key performance indicators, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. The role involves collaborating closely with the executive team on long-term strategy, capital allocation, and risk management, as well as partnering with external advisors, auditors, and financial institutions. The CFO will also lead and develop the finance team, implement efficient financial systems and controls, and support data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in Finance, with proven experience in senior financial leadership roles. Expertise in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting and long-range strategic planning. Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting Financial Statements and related disclosures. Hands-on experience with Financial Reporting, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, assessing risk, and supporting executive decision-making. Relevant academic background, such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA) are an advantage. Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor finance teams, manage cross-functional projects, and work effectively in a remote environment. Experience in the wine, agriculture, FMCG, or related industries is beneficial, along with familiarity with sustainability-focused business models. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear insights.
