Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Tracking Systems is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations and strategy for the organization. The CFO will lead financial planning and budgeting processes, manage cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports. This role involves monitoring key financial metrics, evaluating business performance, and providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic decisions. The CFO will partner with executive leadership on long-term growth initiatives, manage relationships with external auditors and financial institutions, and oversee compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal controls. The individual will also build and mentor the finance team, implement process improvements, and support cross-functional projects that enhance operational efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy. Proficiency in preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial statements, with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Expertise in financial reporting, including designing and maintaining reporting frameworks for internal and external stakeholders. Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and present clear, actionable insights. Proven leadership experience managing finance teams and collaborating with senior executives and cross-functional partners. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong communication, organization, and time-management skills. Experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and business intelligence tools; ability to drive process and systems improvements. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; advanced degree (MBA) or relevant certification (CPA, CFA) preferred. Background in technology or systems-focused organizations is beneficial, along with familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements.
