Role Description The Chief Innovation Officer is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and leading the company’s innovation strategy across blockchain and fintech initiatives. This position oversees the discovery, evaluation, and implementation of new technologies, products, and services that enhance the organization’s value proposition in capital markets. Day-to-day tasks include identifying market and technology trends, guiding cross-functional innovation projects, managing pilot programs, and collaborating with engineering, product, and business teams to bring new solutions to market. The Chief Innovation Officer will also develop strategic partnerships, build innovation roadmaps, and establish measurable outcomes for innovation efforts. This role requires strong leadership in fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement while ensuring alignment with regulatory, security, and business objectives.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret complex market, financial, and technology data and make evidence-based decisions. Information technology expertise, preferably in blockchain, distributed ledgers, fintech platforms, and emerging digital asset ecosystems. Strategic planning capabilities, with experience defining long-term innovation roadmaps and aligning them with business objectives and market opportunities. Project management skills to lead multi-phase innovation initiatives, coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, and deliver on time and within scope. Team leadership experience, including leading diverse, remote teams, coaching talent, and promoting inclusive collaboration and accountability. Proven senior-level experience in fintech, financial services, or technology innovation roles; executive leadership experience is highly beneficial. Strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and risk considerations related to blockchain and financial technology solutions. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage investors, partners, and internal teams in clear, accessible language. Advanced degree in business, technology, finance, or a related field preferred, or comparable professional experience in innovation leadership.
