Chief Marketing Officer

Role Description The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a full-time remote role responsible for leading overall marketing strategy, brand positioning, and go-to-market initiatives. The CMO oversees development and execution of integrated marketing plans, including digital, content, and traditional channels, to drive awareness, engagement, and revenue growth. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing market research, setting performance metrics, supervising marketing teams and external partners, and aligning marketing activities with sales objectives. The CMO collaborates with executive leadership to define brand direction, leads key client and stakeholder presentations, and ensures consistent, high-quality marketing communications across all touchpoints. The role also involves continuous optimization of campaigns, budget management, and staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Strong skills in Market Planning and Marketing Management to design and execute comprehensive, data-informed marketing strategies. Proficiency in Market Research to analyze customer needs, competitive landscapes, and emerging opportunities. Experience in Public Relations to manage brand reputation, media relationships, and external communications. Background in Sales collaboration to align marketing initiatives with pipeline development, revenue targets, and customer acquisition. Proven leadership experience overseeing marketing teams, agencies, and cross-functional initiatives. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with excellent communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated success in brand development or rebranding for small and mid-sized businesses or similar environments. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree is beneficial. Experience with digital marketing channels, analytics tools, and performance measurement frameworks.
