Chief Marketing Officer
Build the Marketing Engine Behind the Next Generation of Fundraising Inspire.World | Remote, U.S. | Executive Leadership Team | Employee-owned The Opportunity - CMO with Equity Buy-in What if everyday commerce could become an always-on engine for fundraising? That's what we're building at Inspire.World. We are creating a next-generation platform that connects institutions, communities, merchants and consumers—turning digital engagement, commerce, promotions and loyalty into sustainable fundraising. Our vision is ambitious: build a Community Activation Network that can fundamentally change how schools, youth organizations, colleges, faith communities, nonprofits and public media organizations generate support. We're looking for an entrepreneurial Chief Marketing Officer to help make that vision a reality. This isn't a traditional CMO role. You won't simply oversee branding or lead generation. You'll build the marketing engine that drives our company, our vertical expansion and a significant portion of the value we create for our customers. And we're looking for someone who wants to be more than an executive. We want an operator who wants to become an owner and long-term partner in the business. What You'll Own As CMO, you'll lead four interconnected areas: 1. Market Strategy & Growth Define our positioning, segmentation and go-to-market strategy across multiple verticals. Determine where and how we enter new markets—and how we turn individual vertical opportunities into a scalable platform strategy. Build the demand engine across digital, content, partnerships, social and other channels. Establish the metrics, processes and discipline required to create predictable pipeline and revenue growth. Partner with executive leadership and Business Development on strategic, partner-led distribution. 2. Performance Marketing & AI Own CAC, conversion economics, pipeline contribution and marketing ROI. Build a data-driven, experimentation-focused marketing organization. Make AI a fundamental part of how we create content, analyze markets, execute campaigns and reach consumers. Establish AEO/answer-engine optimization and AI-driven discoverability as emerging growth channels. Help ensure that when consumers turn to AI to solve a fundraising or community-commerce need, Inspire.World is part of the answer. 3. Client Campaign Services Our marketing organization doesn't just market Inspire.World—it also markets on behalf of our customers. You'll build and lead the team responsible for client campaigns across: Content and creative Social media Email and SMS Merchant offers and promotions Campaign execution and optimization Performance reporting You'll develop the systems, technology, automation and AI capabilities required to scale this service from dozens to thousands of campaigns without creating linear headcount growth. 4. Brand & Market Leadership Own the Inspire.World brand, messaging and market narrative. Develop differentiated positioning for institutions, supporters, merchants and partners. Build the proof points, case studies and trust signals required to accelerate institutional adoption. Lead our digital presence and conversion strategy. Build and manage the agencies, technology partners and resources required to accelerate growth. The Executive We're Looking For You're likely a strong fit if you: Have 10–15+ years of digital-first marketing leadership, including significant VP/CMO-level experience. Have scaled marketing within a B2B SaaS, marketplace, B2B2C or DTC platform environment. Have experience building GTM strategies across multiple verticals or customer segments. Personally understand CAC/LTV, demand generation, pipeline economics and performance marketing. Have built and led high-performing marketing teams. Understand how AI is changing marketing—not just as a content tool, but as an operating model. Have experience with AEO, answer-engine optimization or emerging AI-driven discovery. Have managed high-volume email/SMS/lifecycle marketing programs. Have experience with partner- and channel-led growth, particularly where relationships and networks drive distribution. Can move comfortably between strategic positioning, creative thinking, data and unit economics. Are comfortable making decisions, testing quickly and eliminating programs that aren't working. Experience in fundraising, nonprofit organizations, community platforms or DTC eCommerce is a plus. How We'll Measure Success You'll be expected to build a measurable marketing organization with clear accountability for: Growth Qualified pipeline Marketing-sourced and influenced revenue MQL → SQL → Win conversion Vertical expansion and launch performance Efficiency CAC and CAC payback Channel performance Marketing ROI Experimentation velocity Customer & Campaign Performance Campaign engagement and conversion Client campaign revenue and margins Cost-to-serve Automation and scalability Brand & Market Organic and branded traffic AEO/AI discoverability Share of voice in target markets Supporter activation and recurring commerce Why This Role Is Different We're not looking for someone to inherit a large marketing organization and maintain the status quo. We're looking for a builder. Someone who can help define the market, create the strategy, build the team, establish the operating model and execute. Someone who can sit in an executive meeting discussing market segmentation in the morning and review CAC, pipeline and campaign economics in the afternoon. Someone who sees AI as an opportunity to fundamentally rethink how marketing works. And someone who wants to have meaningful ownership in the outcome. Compensation, Equity & Partnership This is a founding-level executive opportunity. The compensation package will include: Competitive executive base compensation Performance-based compensation tied to agreed business objectives Meaningful equity participation Full executive benefits Because Inspire.World is at an important stage of growth and financing, compensation will be structured in phases, with cash compensation expected to increase following planned financing and achievement of agreed milestones. The Ownership Opportunity We're specifically interested in an entrepreneurial executive who wants to become a true long-term partner in Inspire.World. The selected executive will have the opportunity to make a voluntary personal investment in the company alongside the founders and other senior leaders participating in the financing. The investment would be a separate transaction and would not be a condition of employment. Investment terms, valuation, security and resulting ownership would be mutually agreed upon and documented separately. Our goal is simple Build a leadership team of operators who are also owners. If you're energized by the opportunity to help build a company—not simply run a department—we'd like to hear from you. Location: Remote, U.S. Travel: Leadership offsites, partner events and key industry conferences Reports to: President Inspire.World is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
