About the Role
Fintech Outliers Lab is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to strengthen operational execution and help translate business priorities into consistent results. Working closely with company leadership, you will develop the processes, team structure, and management practices needed to support growth. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on responsibility for coordinating people, resources, and delivery. What You Will Lead Convert strategic objectives into operating plans with clear ownership and measurable milestones. Coordinate priorities across product, technology, business development, and support functions. Establish an effective planning and review process for a distributed team. Develop operating budgets, resource plans, and performance reporting. Improve workflows and introduce systems that support reliable execution. Evaluate external service providers and oversee key operational partnerships. Support product launches by coordinating internal readiness and customer support arrangements. Identify operational risks and work with relevant specialists on controls, security, and business continuity. Recruit and develop team leaders as organizational needs evolve. Provide company leadership with clear recommendations on performance, capacity, and investment priorities. Experience and Qualifications Substantial senior leadership experience in operations, business management, or organizational development. A proven record of building or improving an operating function within a technology-led business. Experience leading cross-functional teams through growth or significant change. Strong budgeting, analytical, and project delivery skills. The ability to prioritize effectively when resources and requirements change. Experience managing remote teams with clear communication and accountability. Sound professional judgment and a high standard of integrity. Excellent written and spoken English. Experience in fintech, enterprise software, financial services technology, or a related sector is preferred. Your Initial Focus You will assess current operating needs, clarify responsibilities, and agree on a practical improvement roadmap with company leadership. Early objectives will include establishing useful performance measures, improving coordination, and aligning resources with business priorities. Working Arrangements This is a full-time remote position associated with New Orleans, Louisiana. Working hours, eligible work locations, travel expectations, and reporting responsibilities will be discussed during recruitment.
