Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is a full-time, remote leadership role responsible for defining and executing the overall technology vision and roadmap. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading software development and engineering teams, overseeing system architecture and infrastructure decisions, and aligning technology initiatives with business goals. The CTO will collaborate closely with product, operations, and executive leadership to guide product development, prioritize projects, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery. This role also involves establishing IT strategy, governance, and security standards, mentoring technical leaders, optimizing processes, and evaluating emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
Ability to lead and oversee Software Development initiatives, including modern engineering practices, code quality standards, and agile methodologies. Strong Project Management skills to prioritize work, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively. Experience in IT Strategy development, including long-term technology planning, governance, risk management, and cybersecurity oversight. Expertise in Architecture, such as designing scalable, secure, and resilient systems, cloud platforms, and integration frameworks. Background in Product Development, partnering with product teams to translate business needs into technical solutions and features. Proven track record in senior technology leadership roles, preferably as CTO, VP of Engineering, or equivalent. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders. Experience with remote, distributed teams and inclusive leadership practices. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; advanced degree is a plus. Familiarity with modern cloud platforms, DevOps, data analytics, and security best practices is highly beneficial.
