Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Figure is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading the overall technology vision and execution. On a day-to-day basis, the CTO will define and refine the technical roadmap, oversee software development efforts, and ensure that digital products and platforms effectively support Figure’s event experiences and community goals. This role involves collaborating closely with product, operations, and leadership teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions. The CTO will manage technical projects, guide architecture decisions, and implement best practices in development, deployment, and maintenance. Additionally, the CTO will build and mentor a high-performing technical team, establish IT policies and standards, and continuously evaluate new technologies that can enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Strong background in Software Development and Architecture, with experience designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable systems. Demonstrated expertise in IT Strategy, including setting long-term technology direction aligned with business goals and mission-driven initiatives. Proven ability in Project Management to plan, prioritize, and deliver complex technical initiatives on time and within scope. Experience in Product Development, collaborating with cross-functional teams to build and refine digital products or platforms that serve user needs. Prior leadership experience as a senior technology leader or CTO, including hiring, mentoring, and developing technical teams. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, security best practices, data privacy, and modern development workflows (e.g., CI/CD, DevOps). Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and build consensus across teams.
