Key Responsibilities
Represent insured and self-insured clients, businesses and individuals in civil defense litigation. Handle general liability, personal injury, property damage, catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. Manage discovery, motion practice and case preparation. Draft pleadings, dispositive motions and legal memoranda. Take and defend depositions. Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations and trial proceedings. Collaborate with experienced litigation and trial teams. Manage client communications, deadlines and billable-time records.
What We're Looking For
Active California Bar membership. Civil litigation experience; defense-side experience preferred. Strong research, drafting and oral advocacy skills. Familiarity with California civil procedure. Experience with discovery and motion practice appropriate to your level. Strong organisational and case management capabilities. An interest in complex civil litigation and trial work. Compensation & Benefits Salary: Up to $300,000, depending on experience. Medical, dental and vision insurance. Life insurance. 401(k) with employer matching.
