About the Opportunity: The CLAIMS ADJUSTER LIABILITY is responsible for investigating, evaluating, and settling less complex claims with moderate supervision. This role involves assessing coverage, liability, and damages while setting appropriate reserves. The position requires exercising sound judgment to determine the proper course of action and to negotiate settlements within defined authority limits. The adjuster plays a crucial role in managing claims in accordance with client policies, corporate procedures, and regulatory requirements, ensuring thorough documentation and communication throughout the claims process. Responsibilities: Investigate and evaluate less complex claims Determine coverage, liability, and damages Set appropriate claim reserves and settlement authority Negotiate claim settlements within authority limits Document and communicate claim activities accurately and timely Manage a full caseload effectively Ensure compliance with client and corporate policies, as well as statutory and ethical standards Requirements: High school diploma and a minimum of 3 years related claims experience Appropriate licenses or certifications for states where claims are handled, or ability to obtain them Knowledge of industry standards and practices Proficiency with claims and business software Preferred: Bachelor’s degree Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills Effective verbal and written communication abilities Ability to negotiate settlements and interpret claim-related documentation Pay Range and Compensation Package: The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
