Cloud and Disaster Recovery Consultant
Northwest Partners is seeking an experienced Cloud & Disaster Recovery Consultant for a 4-month remote engagement. This consultant will lead dependency mapping and disaster recovery workshops across critical identity, cloud, network, backup, endpoint, and operations platforms. The role will focus on identifying system dependencies, defining recovery sequences, documenting RTO/RPO requirements, and supporting Tier 0 recovery planning.
What You Will Do
Lead and facilitate approximately 10 technical workshops focused on dependency mapping and disaster recovery planning across critical Tier 0 infrastructure. Work directly with platform owners to identify system dependencies, critical services, recovery priorities, and RTO/RPO requirements. Map dependencies across identity, cloud infrastructure, networking, backup, endpoint, and operational platforms. Define recovery sequences and identify single points of failure that could impact the restoration of critical business services. Lead discussions around disaster recovery, ransomware recovery, clean-room environments, and isolated recovery scenarios. Assess existing recovery processes, identify technical gaps, and highlight potential risks to business continuity. Document workshop outcomes, technical dependencies, and recovery requirements clearly and accurately. Collaborate with BAH to consolidate findings and maintain the Tier 0 dependency tracker. Engage technical stakeholders to validate recovery assumptions and ensure recovery plans reflect real-world infrastructure dependencies. Provide practical recommendations to improve recovery readiness, infrastructure resilience, and overall cyber recovery capabilities. What You Will Bring Strong technical knowledge of Azure and AWS environments. Experience leading disaster recovery, business continuity, or cyber recovery initiatives. Strong understanding of identity platforms, networking, cloud infrastructure, backup, and endpoint recovery. Experience with Entra ID, Okta, AWS Identity Center, Microsoft 365, AWS Landing Zones, EC2, EKS, and S3. Familiarity with Terraform, Druva, Quest, Intune, SCCM, Splunk, and ServiceNow. Working knowledge of OCI and GCP. Experience with Tier 0 infrastructure or ransomware recovery planning is strongly preferred. Strong workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills. Previous client-facing consulting experience in a commercial enterprise environment. Disclaimer All candidates will be asked to briefly show a government-issued ID on video during the first interview. This step protects the integrity of the hiring process given the rise in applicant impersonation and employment fraud. About Northwest Partners Northwest Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
