Cloud Cybersecurity Analyst (REMOTE)

In this role, you’ll work alongside a well-developed team of professionals, closing the gap between FedRAMP security baselines and real-world SaaS vendor practice, and turning that analysis into stronger, more resilient systems for our customer. What You’ll Be Doing

• Collaborate with project managers, delivery and security leads, and stakeholders to apply the Risk Management Framework to support Authority to Operate approvals for SaaS products in a federal environment.
• Review cloud documentation and topologies to identify potential security issues and architectural risks.
• Assess SaaS products to identify security gaps between FedRAMP security baselines and vendor security practices.
• Analyze and refine manual processes, SOPs, reports, and team workflows to identify improvement opportunities and strengthen delivery.
• Develop and maintain clear, well-organized documentation to support ongoing and future projects.
• Develop informational updates and action plans based on meetings and conference calls.
• Collaborate daily and weekly with the team to maintain transparent communication, project priorities, and effective execution.

What you Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field and 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with a risk management framework such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, HITRUST, or FedRAMP (FedRAMP experience preferred).
• Federal Information Systems experience and familiarity with the assessment process.
• Understanding of cloud systems architecture.
• Identity and Access Management knowledge and background.
• Ability to break down messy, ambiguous problems into clear options and explain tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities for your recommendations.
• Experience taking complex technical ideas and explaining them so that non-technical stakeholders can understand and act.
• Comfort keeping the work moving when priorities shift or deadlines stack up; you know how to drop, delegate, or escalate.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work alongside technical and non-technical team members.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accurate results.
• Strong customer orientation and a positive attitude.
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance.

Nice to Have:

• Recognized industry cybersecurity certifications, such as CISSP, Sec+, CCSK, CISM, etc.
• Comfort with GRC tools such as eMASS or ServiceNOW CAM.
• Experience leading a team or mentoring team members.
• Experience working within the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) or other federal agencies.
