Co-Founder & Chief Technology Officer STARS Contracting SoFlo LLC Location: Remote (Headquartered in South Florida, nationwide operations) Position Type: Equity Partnership Compensation: 50% equity ownership About STARS Contracting SoFlo LLC STARS Contracting SoFlo LLC is a South Florida-based government contracting company competing for federal, state, and local contracts nationwide. We are building a lean, technology-driven operation in which AI agents handle core administrative functions, allowing a small team to bid, win, and deliver at the scale of much larger firms. Our platform has completed its second build phase and is moving into final refinement, including automation tuning, bug resolution, and preparation to scale. Position Summary We are seeking a Co-Founder to serve as Chief Technology Officer and equal partner in the company. This individual will own the technical direction of the business while contributing directly to our government contracting strategy. This is an ownership role, not employment. The selected candidate will hold 50% equity and share full responsibility for the company’s growth and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, development, and maintenance of the company’s AI agent and automation platform Complete the transition from Phase 2 to Phase 3 of the platform build, including final edits, automation adjustments, and error resolution Design systems that support bid identification, proposal development, compliance tracking, and contract delivery Contribute to capture strategy, opportunity qualification, and proposal submissions Maintain the company’s registrations and compliance posture across federal, state, and local procurement systems Partner with the founder on business strategy, partnerships, and long-term company direction Establish technical standards, security practices, and documentation for the platform

Required Qualifications

Professional experience in software engineering, including building and deploying production systems Direct experience in government contracting, such as bid and proposal work, capture management, contract administration, compliance, or past performance on public-sector contracts Working knowledge of SAM.gov and public procurement processes Ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes without day-to-day oversight Willingness to commit to an equity-only arrangement during the company’s growth stage

Preferred Qualifications

Experience building AI agents, LLM-based workflows, or business process automation Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, small business set-aside programs, or state procurement regulations Prior startup or founding experience Background in proposal management or contract pricing Partnership Terms 50% equity ownership in STARS Contracting SoFlo LLC Equity subject to a vesting schedule, to be defined in the operating agreement Equal voice in company strategy and major decisions No salary; compensation is tied to company ownership and performance
