Commercial Real Estate Accounting Manager

Commercial Real Estate Accounting Manager – Remote (Metro Atlanta) | Up to $125K We are seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Accounting Manager to oversee financial reporting, property accounting operations for an established commercial real estate organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial property accounting, financial statement review, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Review monthly financial statements prepared by Property Accountants, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards. Waterfall Calculations: Prepare, review, and validate real estate investment waterfall calculations, including investor distributions, preferred returns, promote structures, and profit-sharing allocations. Partnership Accounting: Support partnership accounting activities, investor capital accounts, and distribution calculations. Account Reconciliations: Oversee balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and general ledger activity. Property Accounting: Review job cost accounting, fixed assets, and other property-related financial transactions.

Qualifications

Strong experience in commercial real estate accounting or property accounting . Experience with real estate waterfall calculations, investor distributions, and partnership allocations. Understanding of preferred returns, promote structures, and real estate investment distribution models. Experience reviewing monthly financial statements and overseeing accounting close processes. Solid understanding of balance sheet reconciliations, bank reconciliations, job costing, and fixed asset accounting. Payroll processing experience is a strong plus, but not required.
