Construction Safety Professional at DroneDeploy Photo-Based Safety Review | Flexible Hours | Contract Remote | 10-40 hrs/week | Hourly Rate | 4-week minimum engagement We need your construction safety expertise, not your safety vest. DroneDeploy captures data using drones, 360° cameras, and robotics across a variety of construction sites. We are looking for experienced safety professionals to review these images and evaluate if certain types of safety risks are safe or unsafe. You will apply the same knowledge you used in your years walking the jobsite, but from your desk, on your schedule. No reality capture experience needed. No software experience needed. We train you on everything. We just need your eyes and your expertise.

What You Will Do

• Review high-resolution aerial and ground images of various construction site conditions (both interior and exterior) through a simple web-based platform.
• Assess jobsite conditions across 10 safety categories (Personal Protective Equipment, Electrocution, Caught-In/Between, Falling Objects, Falls, Fire Safety, Ladders, Material Handling & Storage, Slips & Trips, Struck-By)
• Assign severity ratings for each type of risk per location and provide brief written notes (1-2 sentences) to explain reasoning.
• Align risk categories with OSHA standards 1926 & 1910, along with other common industry practices.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on construction safety experience in roles such as safety manager, safety coordinator, risk control consultant, or superintendent/foreman with significant safety responsibility.
• Familiarity with the following types of construction sites: commercial, data centers, educational, healthcare, mixed-use, manufacturing, multi-family, and/or residential
• Bring the perspective of a field safety professional for documenting meaningful safety performance.
• Willingness to learn a simple image review workflow (we handle all training)
• Preferred (Not Required)
• CSP (Certified Safety Professional)
• CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)
• STS/STS-C, OHST, SMS, or similar recognized construction/EHS credential.

How It Works

• We train you. Full walkthrough of the platform, review process, and examples before you start. It is very straightforward.
• You log in and review. Photos are high-resolution, clearly showing roof surfaces, equipment, edges, and penetrations. Roof areas are pre-divided into grid zones so you know exactly where to look.
• You apply your expertise. Rate conditions, flag issues, note anything that needs physical verification. Same judgment calls you make on a roof, just from photos.
• We manage the workload. Pace and volume of reviews are managed by our team. You show up for your hours and apply your knowledge.

Schedule and Compensation

• Hours: 10-40 hours per week, flexible scheduling around your availability
• Engagement: 4-week minimum to start, with potential for ongoing extension
• Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (please provide your rate with your application)
• Location: Fully remote. Work from anywhere in the US with internet access.
