Corporate Tax Attorney Wisconsin / Minneapolis | Hybrid & Potential Remote Flexibility MB Attorney Search is conducting a confidential retained search for an established Midwest law firm seeking an experienced attorney with strong corporate tax expertise to join its practice. This is an opportunity for an attorney who can serve as a key tax resource to the firm’s broader corporate and transactional practice while continuing to develop and maintain a complementary practice of their own. Corporate tax does not need to comprise the entirety—or even the majority—of the attorney’s practice. Candidates may have broader practices in areas such as corporate/M&A, business law, estate planning and wealth transfer, real estate, or nonprofit and tax-exempt organizations, provided they have meaningful experience advising on corporate and business tax matters. The Opportunity The incoming attorney will advise on federal tax considerations arising in business and transactional matters , including entity structuring, corporate transactions, and related tax planning. The attorney will work collaboratively with lawyers across the firm while having the opportunity to continue building and developing their own practice. The firm offers a substantial regional platform with complementary practice areas, opportunities for internal referrals and cross-practice collaboration, and significant autonomy for experienced attorneys. For partner- and counsel-level candidates, the firm offers a transparent compensation structure that rewards both business generation and production. Partners have considerable autonomy in managing their practices, including setting billing rates, and are not subject to a minimum billable-hour requirement. Candidate Profile Ideal candidates will have Meaningful experience with federal corporate and business tax matters 8+ years of experience Experience advising on tax considerations related to business transactions, entity structuring, M&A, or other corporate matters A complementary transactional practice, which may include corporate/M&A, business law, estate planning, real estate, nonprofit/tax-exempt work, or related areas Strong client-service and collaborative skills An interest in contributing to and growing within an established regional platform Partner, counsel, and experienced associate-level candidates will be considered. An established practice and portable business are preferred for partner-level candidates but are not required for associate-level candidates. Location & Flexibility The firm has offices throughout Wisconsin and in Minneapolis and has a preference for attorneys who can work from one of its offices. Hybrid flexibility is available, and the firm is also open to discussing potentially remote arrangements for the right experienced attorney.
