Welcome to brighthush – Shaping the Future of Learning

At brighthush, we are the world’s leading learning company, dedicated to empowering educators, students, and districts with innovative assessment tools that drive meaningful outcomes. Our flagship offering, the brighthush Assessment for Learning Suite (PALS), delivers a comprehensive portfolio of K‑12 school assessment solutions—including formative and interim academic assessments, social‑emotional wellness screeners, and Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) tools. As part of the Partner Success team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that schools across the nation experience seamless implementation, sustained adoption, and measurable impact from our suite of products.

About the Role – Your Mission as a Customer Success Specialist

We are seeking a dynamic, relationship‑focused Customer Success Specialist who will own a portfolio of midsize and large school district accounts. In this role, you will be the primary trusted advisor for each district, guiding them through the full lifecycle of brighthush’s assessment solutions—from initial onboarding to long‑term renewal. Your success will be measured by the depth of partnership you build, the value you unlock for schools, and the loyalty you inspire in our brand.

Our philosophy rests on three foundational pillars:

  • Maximize product value – ensure every district extracts the full educational benefit of our tools.
  • Cultivate partnership ease – make collaboration effortless and transparent.
  • Nurture joyful loyalty – turn satisfied users into enthusiastic advocates of the brighthush brand.

Joining the Success team means you will help shape the systems, rhythms, and best‑practice frameworks that enable scalable, high‑impact partner experiences. If you thrive on turning ideas into action, love solving complex implementation challenges, and are passionate about elevating student outcomes, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

Implementation Strategy – Blueprint for Success

  • Develop a customized Success Plan for each district, aligning product milestones with the district’s instructional, assessment, and technology priorities.
  • Define clear success metrics, ensuring every stakeholder understands what “success” looks like and how it will be measured.
  • Integrate “gold‑standard” implementation checkpoints that reflect best practices and align with district timelines.

Onboarding – Setting the Stage for Impact

  • Lead all pre‑go‑live activities, coordinating with internal teams to guarantee a smooth transition from contract to active use.
  • Communicate proactively and transparently with district contacts, providing detailed timelines, resources, and training schedules.
  • Facilitate rapid completion of key adoption milestones, reducing time‑to‑value for each partner.

Nurture – Ongoing Partnership Management

  • Leverage data analytics and regular communication cadences to monitor account health, adoption rates, and product usage trends.
  • Identify at‑risk or disengaged accounts early, deploying recovery strategies that re‑engage stakeholders and reinforce value.
  • Prepare and deliver insightful business reviews that connect product usage data with district goals, highlighting wins and uncovering growth opportunities.

Collaboration for Account Success – Cross‑Functional Synergy

  • Partner closely with internal teams—including Product, Technology, Marketing, Sales, Professional Development, and Support—to ensure a seamless customer journey.
  • Act as the voice of the district within brighthush, feeding back insights that shape product enhancements and service improvements.
  • Champion multi‑directional feedback loops that drive continuous improvement across the organization.

Insights & Innovation – Turning Data into Actionable Stories

  • Translate product usage and impact data into compelling narratives that resonate with district leaders and educators.
  • Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for scaling successful practices across the portfolio.
  • Focus on building scalable systems and processes that enhance efficiency, reduce churn, and position brighthush as an industry leader.

Who We’re Looking For

Must‑Haves – Core Competencies

  • Proven experience using formative, interim, or screener/MTSS assessment data to drive student outcomes at the classroom, school, or district level.
  • Commitment to “getting it right, not being right” – a low‑ego, high‑agency mindset that prioritizes collaborative problem‑solving.
  • Deep appreciation for the full customer journey and a track record of effective cross‑team collaboration.
  • Exceptional organizational and time‑management abilities, with the capacity to juggle multiple district accounts simultaneously.
  • Warmth, empathy, and strong relationship‑building skills that inspire trust and loyalty.
  • World‑class communication style that balances nurturing value for partners with protecting brighthush’s business interests.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time for on‑site visits, trainings, and district events.

Preferred Qualifications – Nice‑to‑Have Experience

  • Background in EdTech, Customer Success, or K‑12 education environments.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft O365 Suite, or similar CRM and productivity platforms.
  • Understanding of assessment measurement models, psychometrics, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Residency in the Central United States region (preferred, but not mandatory).
