Dat Insights Analys - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Data Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) is a part-time role responsible for supporting research projects through data collection, cleaning, and basic analysis. In this position, the analyst will work with digital tools and datasets to generate clear, concise insights and visualizations that help faculty and researchers understand trends and patterns. Day-to-day tasks include organizing data from online sources, assisting with the preparation of research reports, and documenting analytical steps to ensure transparency and reproducibility. The role is fully remote, requiring consistent online communication, timely completion of assigned tasks, and collaboration with a diverse, international research team.

Qualifications

Foundational skills in data analysis, including the ability to interpret quantitative and qualitative information. Comfort with spreadsheets and basic data tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets; familiarity with statistical or visualization tools is an advantage). Strong research and information-gathering abilities, including online literature searches and data sourcing. Clear written communication skills for preparing summaries, reports, and documentation of analytical work. Attention to detail, accuracy in handling data, and adherence to ethical research and data privacy practices. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and meet agreed deadlines. Interest in research, academic work, and continuous learning; prior coursework or training in statistics, social sciences, or related fields is beneficial. Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree program in a relevant discipline (e.g., data science, economics, social sciences, business, or similar) is a plus.
