Dat Insights Analys - (Remote, Entry-Level)

Role Description The Dat Insights Analyst (Remote, Entry-Level) role is a part-time position focused on supporting PE-VC Society’s data-driven initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include collecting and organizing data on private equity and venture capital deals, markets, and startups; cleaning and validating datasets; and generating basic dashboards, charts, and summary reports. The analyst will assist in identifying trends, preparing insights for presentations, and supporting research projects for events, newsletters, and thought leadership content. This is a remote role, requiring regular online collaboration with society members and adherence to agreed timelines for deliverables.

Qualifications

Ability to work with data sets, including basic data cleaning, validation, and organization using tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, or similar. Beginner-level skills in data analysis and visualization, using software or platforms such as Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools. Strong research and information-gathering skills, with the ability to summarize findings clearly and concisely. Solid written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare short reports, summaries, and presentation material. Interest in private equity, venture capital, startups, finance, or related domains; prior exposure through coursework or projects is an advantage. Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage time effectively, and collaborate with team members through online tools. Pursuing or having completed an undergraduate or postgraduate program in business, economics, finance, data science, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with basic statistics or analytical thinking and comfort learning new digital tools and platforms.
