Databricks Architect

Databricks Architect Location: Remote | Engagement: Part-Time Consulting | Hours: 2-3 hours/day Job Summary We are looking for a Senior Databricks Architect / Data & AI Architect to provide technical support for an upcoming enterprise RFP. The consultant will help define the solution architecture, provide technical inputs, review RFP responses, and participate in discussions with senior leadership/clients.

Key Responsibilities

Design and review Databricks Lakehouse, Data Engineering, AI/ML, Governance, and Real-Time architectures. Provide technical content and recommendations for RFP/RFI responses. Evaluate Databricks technologies, architecture options, scalability, security, and cost. Create/review architecture diagrams and solution narratives. Participate in technical discussions and presentations with VP/CEO/client stakeholders. Required Databricks Skills Lakeflow / Lakeflow Declarative Pipelines Lakeflow Designer & Lakeflow Connect Delta Lake / Apache Iceberg interoperability Unity Catalog – RBAC, ABAC, lineage & governance AI Search / Vector Search Unity AI Gateway Lakehouse Real-Time / Streaming Genie / Genie Code Managed Agent Memory / Agent Bricks Spark / PySpark, MLflow, RAG, Agentic AI Experience 10+ years in Data Engineering, Cloud, Solution, or Enterprise Architecture. 5+ years of Databricks experience preferred. Must have Latest 2026 databricks technologies knowledge/exp. Strong Azure and GCP experience. BigQuery experience. RFP/RFI, presales, solution consulting, or client-facing architecture experience strongly preferred. Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to executives. Engagement Part-time consulting engagement, approximately 2-3 hours/day, supporting the RFP process and occasional leadership/client discussions.
