Databricks Engineer (Remote CST Preferred) Location: Remote (CST preferred) Duration: 6 12 Months Contract Openings: 4 Start Date: ASAP Role Overview We are seeking hands-on Databricks Engineers to support a large-scale Healthcare Quality Analytics initiative. This role is heavily focused on building Databricks pipelines, modernizing legacy SQL/stored procedures, and contributing through code reviews and pair programming to help elevate overall team capability. This is an engineering-first role (not architecture-only).
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Databricks data pipelines
- Migrate legacy SQL and stored procedures into Databricks
- Develop ETL / ELT workflows using PySpark and SQL
- Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with cross-functional data and analytics teams
- Follow best practices for version control and arenaflex/CD Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Databricks experience
- Python, Spark / PySpark
- Advanced SQL (including stored procedures)
- ETL / ELT pipeline development
- GitHub or Bitbucket
- 5+ years of overall experience (flexible)
- Comfortable in an 80 100% hands-on engineering role Nice to Have
- Databricks certification
