You'd take the Owner's Project Requirements (OPR) and turn them into a design that can be built and repeated across multiple sites. You'll be the technical lead on how compute, cooling and power fit together, working with a small owner team and partners who are already on the project. What you'll do Design white space layouts for 15โ30 kW per rack: containment, top-fed power and cabling, and whether a raised floor makes sense Lead the direct-to-chip liquid cooling design (cold plates, CDUs, secondary loops) with dry heat rejection and a WUE target near zero Design the electrical path around a microgrid (utility, N+2 natural gas generation, PV and battery storage) that can run fully islanded when the grid is down Design for load growth and build a template for rolling out to more sites Review vendor submittals, support commissioning planning, and see the design through permitting What you bring 10+ years in datacenter design, with several MW-scale projects taken from concept through commissioning Hands-on direct-to-chip liquid cooling experience Knowledge of running on-site generation in parallel with the utility (gas gensets, BESS, islanding) Good working knowledge of Uptime Tier concepts, ASHRAE TC 9.9 and NEC/NFPA Nice to have: PE, RA, CDCDP or RCDD credentials, or adaptive reuse experience
