Role Description The Director Financial Control is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial controlling activities and ensuring accurate, timely financial information for decision-making. This role manages budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, and develops financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and support strategic objectives. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, coordinating with accounting and operational teams, and providing analytical insights to management on profitability and performance. The Director Financial Control will also lead financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, support audits, optimize financial processes, and contribute to long-term financial planning for the winery’s national and international operations.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Financial Controlling and Finance, with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis. Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and provide clear recommendations. Proficiency in Financial Reporting and Accounting, including knowledge of relevant standards and best practices. Experience with financial systems, ERP tools, and Excel or similar analytical software. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German language skills are an advantage. Background in manufacturing, food and beverage, or wine and spirits industry is beneficial. High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to compliance and continuous improvement.
