Director of Business Development – Bioanalytical CRO Location: United States (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Opportunity Barrington James is partnering with a growing, specialized bioanalytical Contract Research Organization (CRO) seeking a Director of Business Development to support its continued expansion across the US. The organization provides bioanalytical services to biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies developing biologics, cell and gene therapies, RNA therapeutics and other advanced modalities.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and secure new business opportunities within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers. Manage the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting through to contract execution. Collaborate with scientific teams to develop tailored client solutions and proposals. Represent the organization at industry conferences and networking events. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve revenue targets.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of business development experience within the CRO industry. Experience selling bioanalytical services, particularly large-molecule bioanalysis, assay development, validation or sample testing, is highly desirable. Knowledge of biologics, cell and gene therapies, immunogenicity, PK or biomarker testing. Proven track record of generating new business and closing contracts. Scientific degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline. Established network within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Willingness to travel as required.
