Director of Business Development | Due Diligence Services National Consulting Firm | Dallas-Fort Worth Preferred | High-Impact Growth Opportunity Compensation: Competitive base salary with uncapped commission potential. Compensation will reflect the experience, industry relationships, and revenue-generating track record of the individual selected. You've built the relationships. Now build something bigger. Our client has spent more than 50 years building its reputation and growing its national client base. Now, for the first time, it's bringing in a senior business development professional to help shape how the next stage of growth happens. This is an opportunity to help establish a national sales function before it's fully built, not step into someone else's established playbook. You'll have an experienced delivery team behind you, the autonomy to pursue and close opportunities without unnecessary layers of approval, and the opportunity to influence how the business grows. The firm is making one key senior hire for this next stage of expansion. They're looking for someone who can make an immediate commercial impact and take on broader leadership responsibility as the sales organization develops. About Our Client Our client is a national construction and due diligence consulting firm with more than five decades of experience and tens of billions of dollars in projects reviewed nationwide. Originally established as a general contractor, the firm has evolved into a consulting organization with three complementary practices: Due Diligence: Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Property Condition Needs Assessments (PCNAs/CNAs), Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), and energy-related services. Construction Loan Monitoring: Independent oversight and risk management for lenders and investors. Owner's Representation: Strategic project guidance throughout the construction lifecycle. The firm has grown approximately tenfold over the past decade and is positioning itself for another period of significant expansion. That growth has been built on technical integrity, responsive service, and long-standing client relationships. The firm stands behind its reporting and won't compromise its assessments to win business. The Role This is a hands-on business development position for an established producer who understands the due diligence market and knows how to turn relationships into revenue. You'll lead new business development across commercial lenders, investors, property owners, and institutional clients while helping establish the firm's approach to national sales. Key responsibilities: Win new business. Identify, pursue, and close opportunities with commercial lenders, investors, institutional owners, portfolio buyers, and agency-related clients, including HUD, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. Expand strategic accounts. Lead with Phase I ESAs and energy-related services, then develop opportunities across PCAs, CNAs, and additional consulting services. Own the sales cycle. Manage prospecting, discovery, scoping, pricing, negotiations, and closing with the technical confidence to represent the firm's services independently. Build relationships in person. Spend significant time meeting clients, attending conferences, participating in industry organizations, and developing strategic relationships. Partner with delivery. Work closely with technical consultants to ensure accurate scopes, dependable execution, and strong client retention while supporting the firm's goal of consistent 10-day turnarounds on transactional work. Help shape the sales function. Refine sales processes, strengthen CRM adoption, develop account strategies, and help establish a scalable national business development approach. Support emerging talent. Provide direction and mentorship to a junior business developer and research intern. Pursue national opportunities. Expand portfolio-level business through the firm's growing network of qualified delivery partners.

The firm has already demonstrated substantial growth and national demand for its services. Now it's investing in a dedicated senior business development function to accelerate that momentum. You'll have the opportunity to help determine how that function takes shape. Spend more time winning business and less time navigating approvals. Leadership values sound judgment, initiative, and individual accountability. You'll have meaningful autonomy in managing your relationships, pursuing opportunities, and moving business forward. Represent a firm that protects your professional reputation. Your relationships are only as strong as the work delivered behind them. This organization prioritizes technical accuracy, dependable service, and long-term client trust over winning projects at any cost. Build toward broader leadership responsibility. This role begins with a strong focus on individual production, but the firm's long-term vision is to develop a national sales organization around it. As that function grows, so does the opportunity for increased leadership responsibility. Work with a company that values its people.
