In addition to strategic advisory, we actively work alongside clients to advance projects in business development, R&D, clinical development, alliances, licensing, and commercialization. Drawing on extensive experience in global life science companies and executive leadership in a publicly listed regenerative medicine venture, we provide practical, execution-focused support to companies, universities, laboratories, and research organizations in Japan and internationally. We help commercialize academic innovations from Japan and support global expansion for clients in our core fields, while also assisting overseas organizations entering and growing in the Japanese market. Through a cross-border, hands-on approach, we enable clients to turn strategy into action and opportunities into sustainable business growth. Role Description This is a full-time remote intern role supporting consulting projects in regenerative medicine, pharmaceuticals, in vitro diagnostics, and life science tools and reagents. The intern will assist with market and competitive research, data collection and analysis, and preparation of client-ready materials such as presentations, reports, and summaries. Day-to-day tasks may include reviewing scientific and business literature, organizing project information, drafting slide decks and documents under guidance, and helping coordinate project timelines and deliverables. The intern will collaborate with consultants across business development, R&D, clinical development, alliances, licensing, and commercialization, contributing to both domestic and international projects. The role offers exposure to real-world consulting work, with opportunities to learn about strategy development, project execution, and cross-border collaboration in the life sciences sector.
Qualifications
Strong analytical and research abilities, including literature review, data gathering, and basic data analysis. Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing clear presentations, reports, and emails. Interest in and foundational knowledge of life sciences, regenerative medicine, pharmaceuticals, or related fields. Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating reliably with a distributed team. Proficiency with productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, document editors) and comfort learning new tools. Demonstrated attention to detail, organizational skills, and capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, engineering, business, or a related discipline. Professional working proficiency in English; Japanese language skills or cross-cultural experience are beneficial but not required.
