Director of Data Strategy

Role Description The (Director of Data Strategy) is a full-time remote role responsible for defining and leading the organization’s overall data strategy. This position oversees the development of data governance frameworks, analytics roadmaps, and data-driven initiatives that support business objectives. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with executive leadership to align data priorities with corporate strategy, guiding cross-functional teams on data use, and evaluating new data tools and platforms. The role also involves interpreting complex data to provide strategic insights, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring data projects are delivered on time and within scope. The director will mentor team members, establish best practices, and promote a culture of informed decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate findings into actionable insights. Proficiency in Strategic Planning and Business Strategy to design and execute long-term data initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Experience in Consulting and Management Consulting to advise stakeholders, shape data-related solutions, and manage cross-functional projects. Proven leadership experience in data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence, ideally in a senior or director-level role. Familiarity with data governance, data architecture, and modern analytics tools and platforms. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage distributed teams, and coordinate across time zones. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
