Director of Finance And Operations

Role Description The Director of Finance and Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing financial management and core operational processes. Daily responsibilities include managing budgeting and forecasting cycles, monitoring financial performance, and preparing timely, accurate financial reports and statements for leadership and stakeholders. The role also involves optimizing operational workflows, implementing and maintaining financial controls, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. The Director will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic planning, analyze business performance, and provide recommendations that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support organizational goals. This position requires proactive ownership of both finance and operations functions, including team coordination, vendor management, and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Candidates should possess experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, analysis, and compliance with standards. Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and inform decision-making. Candidates should possess knowledge of operational management, including process optimization, risk management, and internal controls. Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, MBA) is beneficial. Demonstrated experience in a senior finance or operations role, preferably with remote teams, and strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills. Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
