Director of Finance and Operations

Role Description The Director of Finance and Operations is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and day-to-day financial management. This role manages financial reporting cycles, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures compliance with internal policies and external requirements. The Director will monitor cash flow, analyze financial performance, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership. Operational responsibilities include optimizing processes, implementing systems and tools, coordinating with vendors, and supporting HR and administrative functions as needed. The role collaborates closely with senior leaders to align finance and operations with organizational goals, improve efficiency, and support long-term sustainability.

Qualifications

Strong finance and accounting foundation, including experience with Finance and Financial Statements. Proven ability in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting data, developing insights, and informing strategic decisions. Experience leading operations or business administration, including process improvement and systems implementation. Proficiency with financial software, spreadsheets, and reporting tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, MBA) is beneficial. Prior experience in a director-level or senior finance and operations role is preferred.
